I was nominated again for Best Micro Enterprise at this years Big Chips Digital Awards. Despite being up against the talented Andrew Disley and  Stu Preece (Digital Cavalier) I somehow managed to win it for the second year running, which was very nice. Thank you judges.

Just found out today, two websites I built are to be featured in two design books.

Adamrix.com is featured in Creating Your Digital Portfolio: The Essential Guide  to Showcasing Your Design Work Online. Pretty long title, but looks like a nice book.

MrBooth.co.uk is featured in Awwwards: The best css websites of the year in a book.

As @rbgArts pointed out on Twitter a printed book of websites is a little ironic, but to be fair books are always nice.

When I setup on my own I promised myself I would always keep my website updated…

Last update 2010… Ooops!

Anyway the main reason for this is for the last 6 months I have been working solidly for Netmums.com. I’m working on a really exciting long term project which is going to take up all my time for a while now.

Got to admit its lovely concentrating solely on one big project rather than juggling clients/jobs.

My talented creative pal Mr Booth (Matt) recently asked me to build his new website that he had designed. I jumped at the chance. It’s a really simple HTML website to show off his work with a few nice little touches. Take a look at:

I’m sure you know this already but incase you don’t WALO is the specialist in hydraulic asphalt engineering… they also happened to need a new website. Teaming up with my good friend Stu Preece (Digital Cavalier) we put this little site together.

Music are a very cool design agency in Manchester who do a lot of the ace Man City stuff you see knocking around. They recently got me involved in a website project for MCFC to map the fans around the world. The site went live last week and has already knocked up over 5000 registrations.

Natalie B could be confused for a Spice Girl (well by Adam Rix anyway) but as far as I know she isn’t one, Natalie is a very nice lady who happens to have a very nice voice… which if you watch TV you have probably heard at some point.

Anyway fresh designed Natalie a lovely little site and asked me to build it, so I did:

Just completed a collaboration with Various Artists and photographer Tom Van Shelven for 24 Lever Street.

As well as the website look out for a paper in bars, cafes etc in the Northern Quarter Manchester.

Well unfortunately I never got to wear my chicken costume at this years Big Chips as The Tasty Award went to Cahoona for the ace Band on the Wall website, nice one Cahoona.

All was not lost though I did pick up two awards – Best Use of Visual Design for Adamrix.com and Best Freelancer/Micro Enterprise .
